Spring to Sandtrap is a canoe expedition and the beginnings of a national docu-journey of the Rivers of America. This adventure traces the journey that water takes through the Sacramento River and State Water Project; from the pristine springs of Mount Shasta, to the lush green fairways and sandtraps in the golf courses of Southern California.
Kristian and Jared at the Spring, the headwaters of the Sacramento in the foothills of Mt. Shasta. This same water flows from the taps over 700 miles south of here in San Diego. This is one of the main sources of water for most of California's population and supports the agricultural industry in the central valley.
